Booked a boat trip last night to Grotta Di Nettuno which is a large cave down the coast line at Cape Caccia. We boarded at the wharf in Alghero for a 30 minute trip past some white sandy beaches, flash beach resorts and high rises and high cliffs.

Once we got there they cleverly unfolded the plank and we walked into the mouth of the cave. It was quite an amazing space in there with ...

We slept in this morning, got up late from being over tired as the twisty roads really take it out of you! Both of us have to be vigilant watching out for sudden speeding motorists and roads to nowhere as well as the lunatics!

We walked a short distance from our hotel to a little restaurant. We ordered some calamari, a side salad, and our usual pizza. We ordered both 1/2 carafes of wine but didn't finish either of them. They weren't great wines.

    To bed our usual ...

    ... and back up again.

Our hotel tonight is right on the beach so we knew at some point we'd have to get down to sea level. We paid 60 Euro more a night for the view of the beach; it's not worth It, but we can see the water, which is always nice.

Eldon woke with a sore back this morning so I'm stuffing him with ibuprofen. Can't afford for him to get down.

    We left our room ...
