... We'd bought tickets the week before (and to be honest,we were lucky to get them) to watch Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) play the Rajasthan Royals. Given Rajasthan was captained by our own Shane Watson and had three other Aussies in the team (each team is allowed 4 foreign players) we had to put our allegiance there, despite being outnumbered ...

We flagged down a Rickshaw and asked the driver to take us to a cheap part of town as we only need somewhere for a few hours. He took us to an expensive part... mainly because Rickshaw drivers get a cut of what you pay the hotel! We jumped out of the rickshaw ...

    ... hotel opposite.

The city centre was about 4km away, but walking in was the best way to see it. We walked along the long busy main roads with all the traffic and hectic noise with every sign post in Sanskrit. But eventually we came across the city’s main park – Cubbon Park – and the British Library which was a large impressive red building. We sat on a park bench to get our bearings and a chai-wallah came past and sold us some hot sweet tea – gotta love ...
