We left Naples and enjoyed our hotel in the suburbs. As I looked for a way to the highway I noticed an 'Attraction' listed on my wonderful Pocket Earth App beside our route and out of curiosity clicked it. It turned out the be Solfatra, which is a 'just' extinct volume volcano and part of the so called Phlegrean Fields, a name I remembered out of my geological past. We had to go.

Have been keen to go here since seeing it on month dons Italian gardens series. Having had a hectic time in rome I decided to take the weight off and let a tour guide shepherd me around.

We've been on holiday now for just over 8 weeks and we are feeling our energy levels starting to fall.
