... passports! They were all the way in Regensburg. Where? At our studentenheim (dorms). Yes, that is a long way, but we made it! We shared a minute or two of small talk, some laughs (I’m sure they were probably laughing at us and not with us, but we deserved it) and they wished us a happy trip. Wow, what a crazy day… but it isn’t over yet!
We finally get to Prague and get ready to get off the train, only to be told by a woman that this isn’t the main Prague ...
... Thursday. This is only part time work so I am still looking for another job or two, either with another school or perhaps in a business where they are looking for English speakers. Getting lots of cvs out there so hopefully there is 1 place who is interested.
Enrolled in the Czech course which starts Monday, also found a well known English bookstore and bought a couple of books to read, had a coffee and as I was there walked around the main ...
... completely by accident. This once again makes me wonder how there can be so many places like that in one space. I mean really, I saw a church, decided to go in to say a prayer, and was confronted with this absolutely stunning display of gold and intricate stone and woodwork. After a walk through Charles Park it was back through new town into old town and Old Town Square again. This time I saw a guy doing ironmaking with a jar that said he was ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic bxbomberbabe... When I walk into the bar I immediately burst out laughing; the bar is packed with Czech teenagers and drinking, smoking and dancing... to the song "Twist and Shout," they were all doing the actually twist dance too. I thought to myself that this is exactly what I had been searching for in Prague and immediately got a beer and jumped into the bouncing mob of people. At around 4am when the bar started to close down we called it a ...

Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic tammiandchrissy... were also forced to employ. These design errors do not ruin the experience, especially for us 1st class passengers who enjoy plenty of complementary bonuses and can benefit the most from the great onboard staff. We ordered lunch from the buffet before departure and this was delivered to our seats, was surprisingly tasty and cheap as well. I had to take advantage of the first regular train with beer on tap (Pilsner Urquell) with my lunch as well. Later in the journey ...
Prague, Czech Republic v1213... broken into. I should probably mention that this was possibly the most rubbish crime in history. The conversation went something like this. Claire: I think we've been broken into. Our tin of mints is missing from the glove box. Mark: Hmm. Are you sure. It does seem a bit tidier in here. So far, we've discovered very little that's gone missing. Our picnic bag mainly. And one of my trainers. Just one. So if you come to ...
Prague, Czech Republic mark_and_claire... traffic getting into Prague, after about an hour we manage to move a little and pick those people over at a suburban Prague station before at last arriving in the Central Station. I then ran to the meeting point next to the museum square, under the statue of a king on a horse 'the pony tail'. mm I wait, wait, but obviously I'm too late :S I didn't know at all how to communicate with her again and how to find an Internet cafe to do such. I finally go back to the station, use some ...
Praha, Czech Republic maplefanta... Eastern Europe!!!) It was luckily a bit cooler in Prague than it has been and we walked to our hostel - Extol Inn, very nice rooms refurbed, looked like it should really have been a fancy hotel and ours was only a 2 star standard room!!! Werder were playing so we went in search of a pub showing the game, came across one just near our hostel!!! The CRAZY thing was, the half litre beer was CHEAPER than the half litre cans in the supermarket $1 aud!!, that ...
Prague, Czech Republic vegi_table... Rotair cable car to the top of the Glacier, getting our asses kicked in fussball by all the Swedes & the freshest bread, pastries and fondue!!! We loved this town & the mountain and there is so much terrain it is just sick! Chamonix, France - Chamonix lived up to all the hype! We skiied hard by day and partied even harder by night. The skiing here is unreal and the views are even better. Mt Blanc marks the 3rd seven summit we have seen on this trip and the whole Chamonix ...
