... at a typical Swiss Restaurant and got a meal called Rosti. It is a hash brown meal and mine had gravy and sausage. IT WAS SO GOOD! I could eat it all the time. Then we went to a little pub and ordered a beer and hung out. It was great! We checked out the bar at the hostel but it was weird... really weird so we went to bed.

Leg One Switzerland
... get in and I had a nice onion soup and veal on a salad. Very good for my first night in Switzerland. Soon I was off to the hotel, as I was really tired and I had a big day ahead of me tomorrow. Into the snow
... We treated ourselves to a rum and coke at the hostel bar, which proved to be ridiculously expensive. In hindsight it was a bit of foreshadowing.
After a long day of travel we slept, and woke up with only moments of free breakfast time to spare. The breakfast itself was disappointing, although it was basically a less impressive version of what we'd been offered at other hotels.

Hiking in Beatenberg
... go a little further and catch our bus from closer into the town. We had about 40 mins to kill for the bus so we decided to stop at a hotel for a beer. The owner was so happy to meet people from Australia, she also had an Aussie flag out the front. She gave us so much info and even some postcards as a gift. Some Thoughts on Driving
... friends the Bolens, who were also leaving Zermatt that day. We took the train over to Tasch and found our cars and took off. Charlie and I were roaming around a bit yesterday, hoping to visit the small town of Binn in southern Switzerland. This town is the one that we had previously learned had voted some 30-40 years ago not to allow any development so as to preserve the historic nature of the town.
