A travel blog entry by ngbaoyi on Aug 11, 2014

... recommended us to go. We googled map the place and it's supposedly 1.6km away from our apartment, which is pretty reasonable walk. However, we were lost and couldn't find the place, which is not the first time, so it's not surprising haha, but I was really hungry then, Cus we didn't eat dinner the yesterday and breakfast today. So by lunch, I was really hungry already. After a really long walk, we found the address of the place, but the restaurant was nowhere to be found!! So ...

Ryan Air -that could be a whole'nother blog in itself. Suffice to say we arrived Marsailes, picked up our little Citroen Picasso and started off to Antibes. My " Navigating Grasshopper " with her life saving "Tom Tom" got us there safe and sound. I had booked, on-line, what I thought was a decent looking little 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, ...

... br> The day before arriving in Toulon, Steven and I did some research on the port (obviously we started at the ship's library - where they had no books available about France, but we did find some information with our limited internet availability) and consulted a map that showed us where the port was in relation to the city.

Not long after that, Sverre was waving goodbye to me from the platform. I had a comfortable 1.5 hour ride and even got to charge my phone for a bit which was a bonus. My train arrived in Marseille where I was to take another train to Nice. I looked up on the schedule board to look for my train that should have been departing ...

... all happy and silly. I think thats what I'm missing - in person love. Emails and Skype are a complete blessing but in person is something you just can't compete with. Either way, seeing them all giggly brought back some of my enthusiasm. Looking forward to some history in Avignon as well as the lavender museum! Then PARIS Saturday!!!!!

Didn't learn any life lesson's in Marseille other then how to just be with myself.
Maybe the biggest life lesson yet?

XOXOXO
