... over to Big Mikes for some food and a swim….everybody was wrecked. We decided because of our ferry departing time of 11am the next morning we would all have a quiet one. We had another sleep…til 7.30 and headed to dinner at the Hellenic Social Club. It was a really nice restaurant in Ios with some nice fine dining. ... but I've seen enough 'antiquity'...I just wanted to hang out in town here. It's a beautiful sunny,warm day - and shops open despite it being Easter Sunday. And the open air cafes are festive with music and lots of Internet access.

... idea was shared by many other tourists which congregated at the top, all equipped with cameras and camcorders. There professional photographers, couples wanting to express their affection students' groups and lone travelers, like me. Spectacular views were guaranteed.

2 hours later I was on my way to the couch station filled with total satisfaction but also a portion of regret, wishing to stay in the city longer. Maybe next time.

It was not far to the ship and we went straight on. Little cabins. All you can eat buffet and for 20 euros ,all you can drink. I made sure I got my money worth. It took 2 days, a bus and 2 ferries (one overnight) to get to Greece, but I finally did! Actually it technically only took about 2 hrs to get from Turkey to Rhodes, Greece. But since I could still actually see Turkey from there I feel it hardly counts.
