... local bus for only 1.6 Euro whereas many tour groups at Philipi would have paid a tour company many times more. I enjoyed asking locals where to catch the bus and getting a cheap bite to eat at a family restaurant in the village near Philipi.

I got back to Kavala and walked around some more and Kinda gave up another 5 star dinner to have dinner with me. What a wonderful woman she is and how much I love ...

... idea was shared by many other tourists which congregated at the top, all equipped with cameras and camcorders. There professional photographers, couples wanting to express their affection students' groups and lone travelers, like me. Spectacular views were guaranteed.

2 hours later I was on my way to the couch station filled with total satisfaction but also a portion of regret, wishing to stay in the city longer. Maybe next time.

... with the glass kilns was amazingly hot and the sweat was running off the fellas blowing the glass. They made a vase and a horse in very little time and they were brilliant. ... the flight.   However, when checking in our luggage, the weight limit is 20 kilos.  The gate agent said they can look the other way up to 23 kilos. Miss Trish came in at 22.6!  Of course, then Erin wigged out when the scale said 42 kilos when she loaded up her luggage!  No way!  Well, that was on top of Trish's, so we relaxed. ... The police led all traffic away from the main road, the farmers were some kilometres further on that main road. This way physical contact was avoided. The third time we were diverted it became even grimmer. Now the secondary road was blocked as well, only to be reopened after three hours. That was what the policeman said.
