... its all steep gradients and up over the mountains.
Before we head up into the scenic mountain area I decided to go and find
the buffet car and get a few cups of coffee for us all. Again this train may be
narrow gauge but just like the rest of Switzerland's railways its extremely
smooth running. Two coaches along and here is the dining car where I order 5
coffees from the friendly gentleman behind the counter. He places the 5 coffee's

... Entree was meat lasagne, very tasty, followed by a main course of the most tender slices of thin veal in a thin gravy with roasted potatoes and salad on the side. Although already every full we then had "grandmas cake" for dessert which was a lemon filling cake with slivers of almonds on top. Very sweet but very delicious. Complimenting the cake we were served a cup of coffee, although I only a few sips of black coffee as I was quite tired from the long ...

The pictures explain it all! Today we took a day trip down to the south of Switzerland to the beautiful Italian town of Bellinzona. Via train, the travel took about 3 hours each way but was well worth the visit. The town is located right outside of the Italian border and the Italian influence ...
