... not much planned for the day, Hans and I were dropped off for a walk along the Royce River to Bremgarten. After crossing a bridge I was intrigued by a concrete platform with steel rings set into it, matched by another on the opposite bank - turns out these are built to take an emergency bridge, presumably in the case of a flood destroying the other. We were greeted at the airport in Zurich by our coach's friend, Dave, who runs Ruder Club Thalwil, or the Thalwil rowing club. He led the way via train to this cute little town about 15 minutes outside of the city. Thalwil sits on the banks of Lake Zurich and offers stunning views of the Swiss Alps (more pictures from today to come later after I hook ...

    Switzerland

We arrived in natural country of Switzerland. This place was so awesome, people all have to be really rich to live in this country because everything is really expensive. Thecurrency is the nicest looking currency I have seen. We got off right in the centre of town and after a long bus ride, the walking tour was more than welcome. We saw some awesome amazing buildings and other attractions. The river that runs through town was the highlight of this town for me. Everything here ...
