Beautiful sunny HOT day. Walked along the village street after a huge brekkie, and then took small motor boat out on the lake, looking at the campers from the outside today! Looked inside the beautifully decorated village church. My good friend Anni and her husband Michael arrived from Munich. Anni and I had been pen-friends since we were about 12, and Anni and I had visited many times in Germany and UK, although Anni has never made ...

Drove the few kilometres to Oberammergau. I had been there in 2010 with my sister and brother in law to see the Passion Play, performed all summer of each decade since 17th century in thanks for being spared the plague. The wine selection wasn't in my range of understanding - local I guess, but I found a chilled Prosecco just waiting for me! P and the girls are swimming and I'm minding the half pitched ...

... We are not fans of cities and had our fair share of them last year, but at least I can say I have seen Salzburg now. Preferring scenery, we yesterday did the dedicated cycle path along the valley from the campsite - 14 miles there and back - and returned just before the rain started mid-afternoon and I dont think it has stopped since! Anyway, we have extended our stay by one day to get packed away - come rain, come shine - before moving on to Germany tomorrow ...

... path - across the path at waist height. Kind of like aerials I suppose. There were people on the other side, and they were quite flexible so it seemed like we were just meant to walk through them, which we did. However, as we learned as pushed through them, they're electrified. And did I mention they were waist height? Yeahhh. We shortly got back to the chairlift, just in time to watch a paraglider take off by jumping off the hill, and we undertook an ...
