        ... an origami mask yesterday for the masquerade party and today I made a cute kitty costume out of polkadot duckling tape. It went better than I thought. I watched way too much art attack as a kid and now I'm using it for adult purposes. The Austrian Alps are just like the Swiss Alps. Tasha and I kept yelling, "Switzerland part deux!" then we made the hashtag sign with our hands ...

        ... in English. The place is mainly designed to educate Germans about their history. The museum is located on top of the bunkers used by the Nazis and you can go down and look through the eerie tunnels and rooms. Lunch was in the adjoining restaurant before we tackled the journey home. Katrina had a go at driving with me as her navigator. She did a great job.         ... the end and we managed to check in with no problems to our tiny room in the Disneylandesque street of Romerhofgasse. The highlight of a visit to Kufstein is the Fortress. It towers over the city high above and we are only a short walk from the panorama cable car that delivers you to the top.         ... fast ride up the gondola took us high up the mountain where we could explore from. I wasn't really prepared for the altitude or hiking in the leather boots, jeans and the light cardigan I had down in the village, but I should know by now to always be prepared for a short "walk". The views, I seriously will never tire of the the amazing views. It has been great sharing this with Michael's parents - I know they are pretty amazed with the Austrian countryside.

        ... to be in the apartment. Annie went off for swim in the very nice pool next door. Free for us, part of the apartment deal. Annie reports it was beautiful, warm and puts our public pools to shame. Now after a nice meal and more wonderful Austrian wine we shall settle down to Poldark.... sad I know.
