... a place I always wanted to visit. Our plans were to visit eastern block countries, but the trip to Austria was a nice change. You can easily see the differences of western influence. Vienna is a world class city of 1.8 million. It has a strong heritage of the arts; both music & paintings. There are numerous gallery's & museums which you can visit. Music concerts daily ...

Karl Rahner is one of my favorite theologians. There is also a school of theology there attached to the church. I learned from Wikipedia that he is buried in the crypt of the church. We didn't go down into the crypt! He lived and worked in Innbruck since 1981. The church itself ...

So today was an example of how wonderful my husband Craig really is. Many years ago in 1983 when we Eurailed our way around Europe our train stopped at a pretty place called Zell am See in Austria. We were going to Salzburg and Craig said at the time – let's go back and have a look at this town one day. So it was on his bucket list. We left Hotel Tauterman and it was a very pretty drive to Zell am See. ...

... dripping all the way in. The train was very small. We had to sit with a plank between our legs, with our knees under the rear end of the person in front, our arms inside the train with our hands on our laps or on the waist of the person in front of us, looking straight ahead, not standing, not taking pictures on the ride. The tunnel was just big enough to fit the train with us sitting down. It was a very fun ride. There were ...
