Today we went to the Rialto markets again because we had no fruit and veg so we needed some. So once we got up, we got ready and left to go to the markets and at the markets we got tomatoes, peach, mushrooms, egg plant, carrots, parsley, cucumber and my dad got some fish for him self. ... collecting garbage with over sized trolley and he was throwing it into a barge in canal. I hadn't thought about the usual services like garbage collection and how that would occur on an island where there are no cars. I also wonder where it goes to! There isn't an abundance of available space for waste. I also wonder how the sewerage works here? Murano has some lovely public glass art sculptures in squares and park areas. There isn't much graffiti so I am assuming vandalism ...
