... up tonight and leave early for the 160 mile route to Venice (just down the road from Marco Polo airport)

At about 19:00, it was obvious that a storm was a brewin’ so we stowed the mainsail (sorry, canopy) took down the rigging (sorry washing line) and battened down the hatches (sorry, closed all the windows) waiting for the downpour.

... cheese cream inside. You split it open and the mozzarella kind of oozes out - it was perfetto! We also had octopus salad, which led to P and I reminiscing about our Greece trip a couple years prior and the yummy grilled octopus we'd had. ... twists and turns through the back alleys of Venice to get there. We followed the signs to Rialto and soon enough found the Rialto bridge. By that time it was getting really hot, we were getting thirsty and didn't have sunscreen on, so decided to head back to the hotel.
