        ... Happy with that. Then an amazing seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants, began with seafood pate on toast, then risotto, then lasagne, then white fish with salad, then tempura prawns and calamari. Dessert was choice of fresh whole fruits, Apple, orange, apricots, and nectarines, peanut brittle and almond shortbread which it was suggested we dunk in the white wine. Also brought out miniature bottles of sambucca. Very nice. So, back on the taxi and to the hotel to pack for ... of 409 bridges!

        ... to either our iPhones or iPads and now it keeps dropping out..very frustrating. It must be all that water!

        If you haven't been to Venice, start planning. It is absolutely beautiful and has the 'wow' factor in bucket loads. It just doesn't disappoint.

        ... tour of the Basillica and had to walk across some planking to get in, and also once inside the entrance. The tour was great, one because you skip the queue to get in, and two because our guide was funny and interesting. The Basillica is simply stunning - the ceiling mosaics, the tessellated floor, the beautiful marble, and the Pala d'Oro, just to name some of the highlights.
