This morning, I woke up rested and re-energized. Most everyone in the group left early on a day tour to get a boat ride through a local famous canyon. But after yesterday's eventfulness, the last thing I wanted was to spend today on buses and boats. I decided to just stay put and check out the town on my own schedule, taking a bit of a breather from the pace of the tour.

... hair was most put out as she had appropriated that seat for her handbag. I noted Sarah riding her icy stares with aplomb but then realised Sarah had immediately fallen sleep. ... we ate at had a sort of salsa salad bar, where you could pick and choose chillis, sauces and vegetables to add to your meal. Obviously I tried the habanero sauce, which nearly blew my head off. We decided to go and by a bottle of ‘El Jimador’ tequila to have as a nightcap back in the hotel courtyard. It went down surprisingly well, even without lime & salt.
