... We found a lovely little bench surrounded by electrical wires to keep the cows in. It was fun but we had to think about the hot wire at all times.

We then stopped at the little village of Appenzell. We went to the church, but there really wasn't much to see here. So we got back to the car and drove to town of Rankweil. Our hotel tonight is right on the highway so we'll see how sleep goes. The room however is very ...

... this evening was fabulous; a real gourmet meal. Eldon had the pork, veggies and noodles, and I had lamb loin with gnocchi and veggies. Eldon also got us a lovely bottle of wine, and we shared a dessert of, what else, ice cream. We had a great internet connection so Eldon got caught up on our journal, and I got to play bridge and words with friends. I was a happy ...

We walked to St. Jacob's church but it was closed. We toured it later. It was nothing special. We tried the Tiroler Museum, but it was closed so toured the Goldenes Dachl Museum. It was all about the Hapsburg Empire and history of the area, so we kind of rushed through it too. ...

    Thursday 28 August

Moved on this morning, up the Pitztal valley, just south
of Imst. Went up to the Pitztal glacier, taking the Glacier Express(tunnel
train) followed Tyrol’s highest cable car to the restaurant at 3,440m, near the
top of the Wildspitze (3,774m). Perfect weather for a day in the snow – blue
    skies and no wind.

Staying near Jerzens tonight. Had a great evening meal at
    the campsite restaurant ...

    ... of missing
    the last chair back.

We stopped off at the Mittelstation on the leg back to
Ischgl and walked down through the “Walk of Lyrics”. This was very enjoyable,
    especially the two suspension bridges.

As the weather was again not so good, we carried on down
the valley through Landeck on to Imst, checking in to the ACSI site Camping
    Imst-West.

We are now 750m and the fridge is now ...
