... the first canal. There were several cheese shops on the other side of the street, and we stopped in for some tasty samples. Our last stop was the Heineken brewery (which isn't actually a brewery anymore, but an "experience") and we went to visit the building and shop and came home to have our own Heineken experience from the fridge! The transportation system (buses, trams, trains, etc) is very impressive. The service is frequent (every 15 minutes during peak), easy to get around and learn, and very inexpensive. Also there are bike paths on every street and most people use bikes to get around throughout the year. There are also scooters, mopeds, etc and no one seems to wear a helmet including infants in bike carriers.
