... a quick drive into Italy. My first impressions of Italy weren't good. All we could see were road works and the freeways, not the image I had pictured of driving through the Italian countryside! We woke up this morning and headed to the train station. We are now on the train to Rome. This is our last stop on our European Adventure. It's so hard to believe time has flown by. I think Shannon has been most excited about Rome the whole trip, so it will be a great way to end our vacation. We can't wait to see ancient Rome- The colosseum, forum, and fountains. Looking forward to the last blog post in a few days!

We went for a stroll on the beach, ignoring the sign that said we weren't allowed access. No one challenged us, presumably because it is not yet the season and there was no one we had to pay to get on the beach, which must be the case in summer.
