... had to leave it at 6am the following morning. Although, we did enjoy it for the limited time we were there. * A ride in a gondola, fortunately it didn't sink with all five of us in it. Interesting that there are only 430 gondolas in Venice and each one gets passed down to the next generation, the gondola drivers (what does one call a person who paddles a gondola?) go to a school to learn how to do drive them. I heard through the grapevine something was offensive. It would be helpful if I could remember what… Ah well, someone will alert me to my misdeeds. I slept the night away in a very cute room on an interesting pullout couch-bed, the idea of bed bugs dancing in ...

The night before our departure from Positano, we have reservations at La Tagliate, Tripadvisor's #2 restaurant and a restaurant recommended by Laurie’s brother, as they had eaten there last year on their trip to Italy. We were picked up by the restaurant and then driven 20 minutes up the mountain. This is a family run restaurant where Mama and Nonna do the cooking and son and cousin wait the tables. There is no menu, you will eat what ever they are cooking that night. They ...
