Fantastico Alicante!
... 1912. The labrynth-like hallways and rustic charm of the place melds together nicely with the original stonework and renovated balconies, tilework and woodwork. Near St. Nicholas church and several plazas, there was always a place to get a drink and/or some food, which we did several times that night! Another sunny day, how lucky have we been! We set off to walk the short distance into town and head right along the sea front to the elevator which takes you up to Santa Barbara Castle set high on a cliff above the town. It had only just opened so we were among the first up to take advantage of the great views.

Joining the Brits abroad
... streets of Stockholm, Alicante looked like it was in desperate need of a good scrubbing behind the ears and there was a faint scent of forlornness about the place. However the old town still retained some of it's quaint charm with cobblestone streets and enough alfresco dining to keep even the most persistent restaurant hopper interested. The beach was clearly the hero of the town with red and shiny tourists giving their skin a good beating before heading home. ...
To the National Park....almost
... to the top and we had to turn around in fear that weck down and out to a gas station. Luckily just coasting down the hil for 10 km still left us with enough gas to putter into the station n town.
We are never going to run out of gas again.
