Today we went to trek from Vernazza to Monterosso. The start of the trek was REALLY TIRING OMG. There was like never ending stairs up the slopes and we were panting like crazy at the top. I hate climbing stairs all my life, and it was like a torture to me. Within minutes, I was already covered in sweat and had to pin up my hair and look like a siao zharbor hahaha! However nearing the end, it was mostly downhill, but my shoe grip wasn't very good already, and I was ...

I was so sad to leave Rome and it's layers of history and delicious food:( Our plan was to leave early, drive to the Cinque Terre via Pisa. Well, we didn't leave that early and our trip routed us through Milan (traffic was ok) and then through Firenze. The waterfront was very popular with a lot of boats coming and going and all of the bars and ristoranti were well patronised. ...

... t spend a massive amount of time here because the rain didn’t let up too much but enough time to get the typical photos with the Tower. Also managed to get a game of scenic cards in on the lawn during a dry spell. We made the most of the clearing weather that evening and got some pizza and seafood for dinner along with some cheap longnecks and watched the sun set on the rocks. Ended up meeting some French Canadians on the rocks that escalating ...

... managed to chat for the length of the train delays. Good times! We had to change trains three times before arriving at Riomaggiore. At the first stop we got out of in Italy, I made an amazing discovery! So, in my last blogs, I have mentioned that the Tenni family (my dad's side of the family) came from Italy to Australia as sugar cane farmers. But because it was around my great-grandparents' time (I think - or was it their parents, Dad?), I've never thought of myself ...
