... of all, and seemed to have more locals than any of the others. You could see lots of locals chatting with one another, greeting one another ("Buon Giorno Giuseppe!"), and saw a table of old men playing an animated game if cards. Awesome. We decided to head back to Manarola for dinner, and consulted Rick Steves' guide to select a restaurant. Sure glad we did as it was probably our best meal yet, with a reasonable price. And... I ate a really good salad. Had ...

Michael, being the gentleman that he is, let the family go first in the ticket line and, as a result, we missed our train by less than a minute (we watched it pull out of the station just as we got to the track!). Yummy! We then both tried the famous Ligurian pesto on trofie pasta. Perfect ...

... well deserved Corona at La Cantina della Zio Bramante. This bar is a local stalwart and opened back in 1952. His daughter, who is 64 runs the bar now with her children assisting.

After our beer we headed back to the apartment to get cleaned up and rested. Tonight we dined at Marina Piccolo. It is such a balmy night – beautiful!

The sun was setting when we arrived so I took some shots. Note the person on ...

... It's beautiful as I imagined it would be and has a large beach so of course I have to stick my tosies in the water. I've lived by the Pacific Ocean my whole life so it felt amazing to know I'm all the way around the world and I'm feeling the Mediterranean ocean on my feet. It wasn't even cold! If I had a bathing suit I would have gotten in (it was definitely warm enough). So we wander around town and stop at a few little shops. We find the town church ...
