... thank goodness! On Monday we explored the village and marina, had a rest and went out for dinner. Today (Tuesday) we tackled the hike from Monterosso to Vernazza. My legs have never felt so jelly like and even though I did not go on any further hikes (Amy did the next ond along) I am very proud of myself for doing the 2hr hike, even with the burning legs it was well worth it for the view. ...

So people always say there is nothing in Pisa aside from the leaning tower and the blue building but Jess and I found ourselves falling very much in love with this quaint little city. ... explained where we had to be. We found our seats and stayed there till we arrived in La Spezia. We managed to grab a bite a McDonalds. We saw a man that looked like Jesus from the bible movies. It was amusing. We caught our train and then arrived in Riomaggiore which is one of the five cities of Cinque Terre. It was beautiful. The sun was shining and the water was crystal blue. Just hearing the waves crashing against the rocks had this calming effect. We ...

      ... trail mostly to myself.

Once I return to my place here in Vernazza I'm pretty tired so I relax on the terrace for awhile. My peaceful rest is interrupted by the sounds of a siren. Looking down I can see an ambulance and people running towards the long walkway on the waterfront. The walkway is surrounded by big bulky rocks/stones and the waves are sometimes strong there going over the walkway and stones.

      Eventually, ...
