... continue on towards Pisa later that day. La Spezia was a quick 30 minute drive from the gas station.

Once in La Spezia we saw signs for Cinque Terre (an Italian town Conor has been talking about visiting since October), so we 'audibled' one more time and decided Cinque Terre was our new destination to spend the afternoon. Following the signs, we were yet again climbing up a mountain. Once we had reached the top, we were quite confused as the signs seemed ...

... I could tell you how long we were there for and what we did but I really have no idea. We realized it was getting late and decided we needed to start the hike. Once we got to the trail and started walking up I felt like I was dying. Like literallly dying. We met a nice couple that were from Canada, I think, and walked with them about half the way there. Then we took the train to the next village of Manarola which is another fishing village. Here we could walk along part of the cliff-side path until it was blocked but then had to turn back. We had a fabulous light lunch here of fresh grilled anchovies, three types of raw fish and an insalata caprese - perfecto! It was then ...

Woke up early to head to the cinque terre area. It consists of 5 little villages that you can walk between seeing some stunning scenery. Caught the bus from the campsite to the train station which took us to the first village monteresso. From there we started the walk to the next village. Took us about an hour and a half but wow there was some amazing views. The path was pretty difficult with stone steps for most of it and had to stop to let people coming the ...

... window. Dropping off our stuff, we went out for a walk to the harbor. On the way we popped into a gelato place and before we could even make a selection there was all this yelling, in animated Italian, out in the street. The store owners behind the counter dropped their scoops and ran our the front door, we followed. Two men were holding their respective pets, two dogs, and they were yelling and pushing each other. A woman ran ...
