... wonderful mountains against a clear blue sky. Alan took 104 photographs in about 3 hours!
Tuesday was also clear, so we drove to Chamonix, which is also at the base of Mont Blanc, for a view from another angle. We planned to take a telecabine up to Aillguille du Midii, the next door peak, but the web-cam showed it was too cloudy at the top to make it worthwhile, so we had lunch instead!

... but he did struggle in a group of 5 and his misunderstandings were brilliant. For our part, Elana and I will never again forget the French word for wardrobe.

Sunday started at an ungodly hour again, however this time we were determined not to make any mistakes with our flights and we made it home without incident. The leftover Gin was donated to Becca the chalet host. I hope it brings her better luck.

... favourite conditions (mainly because it puts most other people off. And the least obstacles I need to avoid, more's the better for my snowboarding). And we were off piste in some trees which probably helped my enjoyment. The snow was unreal, I spent most of my day nose first in drifts up to my thighs. In fact I spent most of the day face first in the snow, but that doesn't matter (nor hurt so much) in lovely fresh snow. I just ...

They also have quite a good collection of Impressionists (in a broad interpretation), including several wonderful Degas dancers, I found a Sisley “La seine a Argenteuil” particularly interesting as I remember fondly other works ...
