Yesterday we took a field trip to the French Alps. It was by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I had one of the best days of my life there! Normally one has to purchase in advance a lift pass that is commonly a small credit card sized piece of plastic that allows access thru gates at the bottom of chair lifts and gondolas. You pay for the number of days skiing and swipe ...

... It is all great fun and a world away from the life of rural Africa. It is fun to be here with this lively and boisterous group of friends and they have all made me feel very much included. Who would have thought that when I set out yo drive across Africa I would end up Skiing in France, not me! But life has a way of embracing you if you embrace it, and one of the things i am constantly reminded of in Africa is that life is precious and can change in a blink for all of us, so Carpe ...
