... dinner at the local Talloires Caf de la Place. Inside it looks very French and was full as usual with a friendly, happy and warm atmosphere prevailing. We come back here on Wednesday for a New Year's Eve party. In recent years Cate and I have always been in Wollombi on NYE enjoying great food and marvellous camaraderie next door at Bruno's restaurant. It will be interesting to compare..

... and accordingly are less used. The cost for us was about E55 for the day. Naturally the tunnel is expensive, but on the flatter country there did not seem any point in the tollway and I think we saved 15 to 20 Euro by coming off once we realised what was going on.

Coming back to France is much easier for us as we have some French between us. Certainly enough to read most things ...
