Up to Tre Rose for breakfast then Roger met Luca, his riding companion for the morning. They are riding up the mountain out of Nesso and back around. He has been looking forward to this ride. Exploring Nesso is on our list today. Nesso is a reasonable size village, we guess around 1000 maybe 1500 residents. It is perched on then side of the mountain with the houses clinging precariously to the hillside. The main road from Como to Bellagio runs ...

... this very narrow road, avoiding the parked cars and trucks. It took us a while with Michael out giving directions, but eventually we reached the bottom with no incidents. After that experience, we decided we would just go home. We headed back to the ferry terminal and there was a half hour wait. When the ferry attendant saw Wendy reversing into a waiting space she came out and yelled at the bus driver taking up space and a couple of motor cyclists, told them in ...

Well, our week in Milano has come to an end! We had a great time. Toured a few sights. Had a great weekend. Enjoyed the F1 race at Monza. Our accommodation was very close to the Milano Centrale Stn so, we opted to pull our luggage to the station. Didn't see too many taxi's to flag down and probably would've taken longer to attract one then to just walk the few blocks. The Centale station is large but over the week, we've gotten to know it very well! Arriving here from the airport ...

... have coffee while they wait. There are no ticket machines in sight but we see a parking inspector and ask. He tells us that it is free for two hours and you have to write the time you arrive on a note and leave on your dashboard. You think that would work in Australia? So we head our respective ways. The boys arrive at the cable car station only to discover it is closed until 2:30 - siesta! Oh we'll, I guess we have lunch first. We walk back to find the girls, past the car where ...

Roger is a mad cyclist and has arranged to hire a bike while here and go on a couple of rides through the mountains. Today we are taking him to a hotel just out of Bellagio where he will pick up his bike and meet today's riding partner - Fabio. We head off and all is fine. We can see where the hotel is located on our mini tourist map and the GPS map is showing us the roads. The GPS would not let us enter the details for the hotel ...
