After a rushed start we arrived safely at Catania airport with plenty of time to spare - thank you Mt Etna for not erupting or billowing clouds of ash into the atmosphere so we could depart on time! On the way home we stopped to get the kids gelato and then headed over to a little restaurant we found down the road called trattoria tipica - it had a lovely atmosphere but I was a little worried when I saw cavello on the menu, we had a laugh but didn't tell the kids then I went on to ordered the mixed meat platter and then realised it might come with horse!!!
