    ... apricot jam croissant was the 'piece de resistance'. Many more would be consumed from that patisserie. That morning we visited the old Scopello tuna fishery (which like a lot of Italy has been privatised as you pay 5euros each to use the concrete beach/facilities.).     ... 60 euro oraz szybkiej i sprawnej pomocy Beaty z Polski wyjechaliśmy kolo 10.30 z wypożyczalni, po ciemku, z dzielną Marylką za kierownicą wielkiego auta i 60km do celu. Dojechaliśmy szybko i sprawnie na miejsce, wyobrażając sobie po drodze, co nas otacza. Już mocno zmęczeni jakoś się zorganizowaliśmy i o drugiej poszliśmy spać. Jutro zobaczymy, gdzie jesteśmy. :)

    ... everywhere you look -- from the medieval, cobble-stoned streets, the chiesas (churches) and castles, ceramics and arts, to the mountains and sea!

    Food, conference, accommodation all included in my 500Euros registration for the week. The food was a pleasant surprise -- each one a two-course meal of local cuisine with different restaurants. I love seafood and there's no shortage in Sicily!

    ... and drop us off to the Acropolis. It is a long walk, probably not worth taking in a hot summer's day.

    Next stop was Segesta. Another 6 Euros, plus E1.50 for shuttle all the way to the top of the hill to check out the Amphitheatre. It was a steep climb, and with the scorching summer sun, it's worth taking the shuttle. On the way down, a walk would give photo opportunities with a different ...

    ... the situation.,... But there comes a point after you have been told you cant use loo roll, soap, running water or find any electrical points to keep the phone with power, eating only home made (overly crunchy) bread with lemon and oil for every meal, and getting drawn into very serious conversations where they seem to be siding with nazism ideals, where you realise enough is enough!!
