... and lit landmarks, the Seine still visible below. We felt the cool air breeze past us and it was so joyous to be in such a beautiful place. We descended, bought a dessert crepe and watched the Eiffel Tower twinkle before finishing our crepes on the edge of the Seine, listening to the water pass below. ... so ended up at Starbucks having a sandwhich, wasn't the plan but filled the hole and got us going again. It was hot today, only 27 or so but quite humid so all the walking was hard work and also you don't want to drink too much because finding a loo can be a challenge, this place is a madhouse and if you do find a loo the queue is very long, better to just dehydrate which we did! Onward journey to the Arc de Triomphe and only queued for about 20 mins so pretty good. €9.50 ...

Well today is our first real day in Paris. Our body clocks are a bit out of wack, but we had a good rest if not a lot of sleep last night.
