Day 3, 4

Day 3 I wasn't traveling at all, I was busy working, However on the forth day I managed to go to a town not far from Barcelona called Lloret de Mar. It is a new town located just near the seashore, with wonderful forests at the same time. There are a lot of hotels there for every type of traveler.

After lunch we set off up to the castle, inside its walls are numerous little houses which are still inhabited, although the satellite dishes were rather incongruous! After all this exercise it was time for a cocktail followed by a spot of shopping before eventually heading back to L’Escala.

... Alison bought a small leather change purse for €2 to replace her stolen wallet. Then it was back to enjoy the pool at the timeshare. We spent a very relaxing day enjoying each others company, sunbathing in the heat of the day, before heading back to Girona airport with Chris & Milly at night, so that they could catch their flight back to London. Our farewells weren’t too teary, as we knew we would see them again in two weeks, in Auckland.

... with the amazing view of the swimming pool only a few metres from the French doors of the unit with the sea only a little way beyond that. Stunning!

We decided to reorganize our luggage and pack only enough for the night away and leave the remainder in the room so there would be more room for Chris & Milly’s bags in the car. Things couldn’t have worked out better! It looked like our stay in L’Escala would be a real relaxing break.

... and also you can do a lot of activities. So we thought that we could speak about our surroundings that we know very well and perhaps that can help the people who wants to visit our region.

... caught the train in Avignon and headed to Figureres, Spain and the Salvador Dali Museum and Theatre. The town is sweet, the museum incredible. One of the most inspired museums I´ve experienced. This weekend IES Barcelona went on a huge "study journey" (it's college speak for field trip) to Costa Brava. The map you're seeing only lets me put one location, which is whack because in the course of three days I've been to six different towns. But most of them show up on that map.
