      Honeymoon in Spain

My wife and I recently visited Costa Brava (April 2013) as part of a two week honeymoon in Spain. Our stay at the Hotel Aigua Blava could not have been better. Although this was the end of the "off season" and some of the amenities were not operating, the Hotel was better than advertised. The views of the coast are stunning. The room was a very nice size, with a king sized bed, plenty of closet space and a sitting area with a coach and coffee table.

The staff was amazingly friendly. The main restaurant serves great food prepared in the typical Catalan fashion. It was a little too cold for a dip in the pool, but the grounds of the resort were very well maintained.

The Hotel staff sent a bottle of Cava to our room in celebration of our honeymoon. Everyone associated with the Hotel went out of their way to make our stay special.

Well, if you want somewhere with stunning views, friendly staff, flawless menu and desserts to die for I highly recommend Hotel Aiguablava. The big table of us ordered quite possibly everything on the menu and there wasn't a single complaint. Dessert followed and there was no complaining, in fact no conversation, something's always good when it causes silence.
      Love this place!

... amount of time there, looking at most things twice. The architecture of the building was gorgeous too of course. However, the rest of the town was not really built as nicely, I think Barcelona and Lyon win on style of architecture, but it was still a nice place. I don't really think you need more than a day though to be honest, it's quite small. I also took the hike up to Castell de ...

Last day here. We are going to the caves this morning and then having paella for lunch, so keen to finally have some traditional Spanish food. Last night dinner was quite good, we went to a restaurant and had muscles which were so yum! Also some fish soup which was strange but good. It's sunny here today and looks like a beautiful day. Let's see how the day pans out ...

... Andreu has his little tantrums every now and then, and won't move, but all in all this trip had been fab so far. I really enjoyed doing some physical activity, it's getting good. We had lunch at the holiday house, and then watched tv a bit, which was quite boring, relaxing though. We are now back here after visiting the Christmas markets, which even though small, we're quite lively with lights and music. I bought some earrings at the town they were at, Bagur. ...

After a night in the French Alps we decided to push on and get to Spain, we started the day 9degrees and raining hard, eventually arriving in Spain at 4.45pm with the sun and 18degrees, a lovely way to finish the day...
