    Honeymoon in Spain

My wife and I recently visited Costa Brava (April 2013) as part of a two week honeymoon in Spain. Our stay at the Hotel Aigua Blava could not have been better. Although this was the end of the "off season" and some of the amenities were not operating, the Hotel was better than advertised. The views of the coast are stunning. The room was a very nice size, with a king sized bed, plenty of closet space and a sitting area with a coach and coffee table.

The staff was amazingly friendly. The main restaurant serves great food prepared in the typical Catalan fashion. It was a little too cold for a dip in the pool, but the grounds of the resort were very well maintained.

The Hotel staff sent a bottle of Cava to our room in celebration of our honeymoon. Everyone associated with the Hotel went out of their way to make our stay special.

    Dinner and Crepes

Well, if you want somewhere with stunning views, friendly staff, flawless menu and desserts to die for I highly recommend Hotel Aiguablava. The big table of us ordered quite possibly everything on the menu and there wasn't a single complaint. Dessert followed and there was no complaining, in fact no conversation, something's always good when it causes silence.
    Love this place!

... it was really cool. Unfortunately there were some weird nude old people that we ignored roaming the sand dunes (We kept our distance fortunately). We then searched aimlessly for some dinner but all the places were shady or too expensive. So we returned home to the hotel for some surprisingly great food at the hotels restaurant. - Grace

... Pick-pocketing is still popular, but at least it's done without violence, and with subtlety. The broad tree-lined avenues rival those of Paris, and since it's clean and flat, and full of light and beautiful buildings, it's a walker's dream.Swimming at Barcoloneta each morning with a bunch of old people and the odd lager-lout from the UK, or nude yoga instructor from France, starts each day on a positive note. Declan and i ate a whole bag of custard croussants. Soon later we reached our hotel in Les Roque by the coast. We went to the beachfront for dinner and ice cream before going to bed. We love getting messages from you all! :)
