    ... The zoo is built into narrow terraces backed by the cliffs which are an extension of the Maritime Alps. Fantastic views from there of the harbour. We then had a coffee at MacDonalds, and used the wifi there to try and send the emails that would not send from the hotel! Success at last, and the coffee wasn't bad either. Back to the hotel then.     ... like something out of a painting. We enjoyed our picnic lunch there then crossed the street and went into the Cocteau museum. It contained his drawings custom sketches, movie posters and movie clips. A second smaller museum that was once a fort at the edge of the sea was a short walk away.     ... is one of the must see places for me on the whole trip". Monsieur, not convinced that Menton is worth a visit, considers asking why Madame is so determined but decides against it. As soon as we cross over the border into France, Monsieur's doubts materialise. There is only one campsite in Menton and that is because of the terrain - the Alps Maritime reappear.
