Rio Ceballos, day of horse riding. Having only rode 1 horse in my life, I was a little nervous as the gauchos over here have a reputation of not having much tolerance for beginners. I was pleasantly surprised as the whole group was beginners with little or no experience of riding. I was given a grey horse called Sal, she has a great temperament very laid back and only wanted to canter when she really wanted to. I can see myself being reincarnated as Sal. We rode for a couple of ...

Recreo to Rio Ceballos, not a long drive today to the horse ranch. On the way there Paddington got some more photos with the local police, who stopped him at a routine checkpoint. Rio Ceballos is a 6500 acre farm owned by a Argentinian family who's family emigrated to Argentina from Scotland over 110 years ago. This was one of our favourite hikes and it just shows how dangerous the mountains can be. It was in peak season supposedly in the best weather time and on one of the most popular areas with easy routes to follow. After Colombia we already have a healthy respect for the high mountains but this ...

... Also, we got into the river . We had lunch very late ! We were so hungry . The trekking was so long and (an anecdote) manggi got angry with Abrula and Vicky M. We came back to “La serrana” and we finally had a shower. ...

On the day of the departure

On the day of the departure we had to wake up early. We had some brakfast and then we left. During the journey, we saw a few movies. Some hours later, we stopped to buy some food and drinks. The journey was so long that it was boring at some point. When we arrived at school, it was late at night; a lot of parents were outside the school. After that, when we got off the bus, we started to scream and shout in the school hall. We had a great time! ...
