... After lunch the 5 of us went for a boat ride around Lake Garda which was beautiful. The captain even let each of the boys have a turn steering the boat which they thought was pretty cool. We were then going to go and have a look through a castle but it closed at 1pm! We didn't realize this and got there at 1.30pm. Oh well! We had dinner at the cafe downstairs from our hotel with John Daniela, and then when back to our rooms to pack up ready to head to ...

... we went on so many rides without lining up which we just wouldn't have been able to do otheerwise. It's such a huge place there were many things we didn't see even though we there for nearly 8 hours!!! It was a really fun day and I'm sure will be one of the highlights of the boys trips, it was one of mine too! The kids were so tired we were not even going to attempt going anywhere for dinner So we room service pizza's and gluten free spaghetti (yay!) for me and ...

... a town called Arco for an amazing seafood lunch. Sirmione is gorgeous, and our hotel is right on Lake Garda, not a bad view to wake up to! We set of to explore the town, then after a rest we headed downstairs to watch the sunset and then went out to dinner. Tomorrow is Gardaland ...

... When it turned up, it was a nearly new catamaran
almost as quick as the fast cat from the day before. Arriving back
in Sirmione, the weather soon began to brighten up and it turned into
a lovely day again. We took our time looking in the shops and
stopping for a couple of beers in a tiny bar. Jayne bought me a
magnificent Fossil watch in one of the shops. We walked from one end
of the town and back again, taking in ...

      ... were on the
scale of that which we see in the Solent and the boat was soon
rocking from foil to foil criss-crossing the lake from town to town.
Our first stop of was Malchesine on the eastern coast. We discovered
as with all the places on the lake, that they were pleasant villages
on the steep hill sides of the lake, full of charm, narrow streets
and passages but swamped with tourism. We stayed for a spell,
wandered, drank beer and wandered some more. A car ...
