The mighty Dolomite Passes
... but then again Mad is my second name!!
Soon I’m back at the summit of "Falzarego pass" but having spent time here earlier I continue on towards Cortina. It’s a wonderful road down this pass as are they all but there is something that has been bugging me all day and that is a pass I was up during my summer visit to this area but for some strange reason I just cannot work out where it is.
I have the name in my head as "Gual pass" or something ...
Onwards to find the Dolomites
... and a nice hot chocolate but after standing around for over 15 minutes I left and went on the hunt again. In those 15 minutes I never saw a single person in that restaurant. The bar was there with loads of drinks and all!! Was this a come help yourself restaurant or what?? I’m sure I could have had a few free drinks without any problem but being a Scotsman I would not do that;-))

... we headed off towards Italy. It was raining really hard for the entire drive and about an hour and half from Forni, we stopped again (we had stopped there on the way to Davos a few weeks ago) at a great rest stop for cake and cappuccinos. I had an excellent poppy-seed sponge cake topped with raspberries and a raspberry whipped cream. Megs went for an apfel strudel since she was on the hunt for the best strudel.
