      ... Happy Hour and toes up time! For our last evening in Vienna, we again relied on a recommendation from Uncle Rick, and were not disappointed. A wine bar, Gigerl Stadtheuriger, where food is ordered by weight -- roasted and cured meats, potato salad, hot peppers, etc. After fattening up at the Gigerl, we returned once more to the Ruthensteiner, to pack and prepare for tomorrow's boat trip down the Danube to Budapest.       ... trees, many trimmed to form straight lines, arbours of greenery and a lovely one of red roses, a huge rose garden - all flowering at the moment, although needing a good weed. There had been a concert in the grounds the previous evening so a big pack up was going on which spoilt the ambience somewhat and obscured views of the memorial at the top of the square.       ... bite to eat, then toured the churc & it's catacombs. New problem-- Jim couldn't find the bus tickets so we had to walk back in the wind , rain & cold! We took shelter in the Natural History Museum for a quick tour. We were both very tired, so we left at 4 & walked 2 blocks to our hotel. Jim climbed in bed& I blogged . We've had enough of Wien's weather!

      ... out as much as I should have. Eventually found way to hostel, checked in and went to find something for dinner. After much hunting for something reasonable (forgetting where I was), settled on sushi followed by a fantastic German beer in a small pub with a small band covering rock classics - a great end to a long day!
