On getting back to the ship, we had a quiet afternoon, then that night we had a local guy, ex Aussie ex-pat for entertainment. Day 1 in Vienna and we just wandered up the main walking street in the CBD. We saw St. Stephen's Cathedral. Cheryl bought her last minute souvenirs. We scoped out where I'll be moving to tomorrow. Another good spot, only about 10 mins walk from where we currently are. We had a coffee in a flashy looking coffee/bar. The hostel, was only a few stops on the metro from the center, so it didn't take so long to get back. The next day, on the 17th, we visited Vienna Zoo, which wasn't as big as I assumed it would be, but it still held the animals everybody was excited to see, like: Pandas, Polar Bears, ...

... which is one of my favorites. And I thought they only made it in Germany. So I had to get it.

      • Mokador: after dinner we went back to the hotel, but Dad and Derek and I wanted to go back to the cafe on the street to get a beer. It was a little chilly, but very fun with the trams on the street literally right behind us.
      • So congratulations! You made it to the end of the blog. This was our last day in Vienna. Tomorrow we'll move on to the Austrian Alps, ...

... I went up to my room to make my bed and meet my new suite mate!! Her name was Akara and she was from Japan! We talked for a bit and decided to go to the Schönbrunn palace together after breakfast the next morning!

Then I took a shower and hit the hay. For some reason I had a hard time falling asleep last night. I kept tossing and turning and waking up in the middle of the night. Then, before I knew it, the sun was up to greet me. I was excited to ...
