    ... I finally made it home and collapsed on the couch.

    Apart from the nightlife, Vienna still had plenty to offer. The architecture is amazing. So many grand palaces (some of which are now museums). The Schönbrunn Palace was definitely a highlight. Although the apartments inside were so-so (Versailles set the bar very high), the Rococo exterior of the palace is extremely pretty. And there are spectacular views of the castle from the hillside ...

    ... us, only to be told on arrival, that they were overbooked and were moving us to a different hotel! They rang a taxi to take us there, but after driving around for twenty minutes, it was obvious the taxi driver had no idea where to go.     ... 2 hours to cruise from one end to the other. On the return trip,we got off at a little place called Maria Wörth and had lunch. Unfortunately we had a little lost in translation confusion at lunch. Graham and Christine ordered a pizza to share and so did Kathy and John.     ... to do anything. We did go to the Natural History Museum which was cool but again - didn't have air conditioning. So now we are hiding in the basement trying to stay cool. Vacationing is hard ;) just kidding. We're just dying of too much heat. Updates to come!
