Travel Blogs from Frankfurt
Long day of travelling today. Set off around 10. Travelled thru Belgium & the Netherlands before arriving in Germany. Only 3 stops required ('mum I need a wee, dad I need a poo, We're HUNGRY!!'). Went out for tea at the campsite across the roads' restaurant and got soaked in a thunder storm. Looking forward to a busy day at Playmobile land tomorrow. Fingers crossed for better weather ☀ ...

Silvana is a good friend of mine, whom I first met travelling around New Zealand a couple of years ago. We managed to keep in contact and its always great to catch up with her. She insisted on driving us into Frankfurt. We avoided any traffic chaos and as we were driving in, Steffie spotted a famous Underground (U-Bahn) entry made to look like a wrecked train. We arrived in Frankfurt without any dramas and dropped the car off in the Europcar section. The guy didn't even check the car properly - he didn't notice the GPS was missing! He was going to let us sign off to say that all that was wrong was that the petrol wasn't filled up! Unfortunately we had to let him know the other issues. Then they took us up to the office ...

After several cups of coffee we joined a walking tour of Frankfurt. It was led by an American, Dave, and took us around all the historic places in the city centre.
