    Our morning started with a drive around Vienna. It was Liberty Day and they were celebrating the signing of the contract for everlasting neutrality in 1955 following the war. There were lots of military in town for parades and displays of tanks and other equipment. There is 6 months compulsory military service or 9 months community service.     ... literally sparkled.

    So I walked up the stairs slowly, getting closer and closer to the paintings, and taking lots and lots of pictures. Then finally I got to the very top of the dome where there was a simple painting of a dove.

    When we finally made our way back down to the bottom of the church, we looked back up at where we had been and couldn't believe how high it was. Our day had only just begun and we were already shocked and awed.
