... to be home for Christmas on time.

After another night with girls from South Korea in my room that do not go to bed before 1 only to wake up again at 5 and to make lots of noise and light I look forward to my own room and own cosy bed.

Vienna has a long and thriving “coffee culture”, which is a well known and loved aspect of culture here. We enjoyed the classic Café Melange at the historic Café Central, along with some tasty apple strudel, and then visited the Backerei Arthur ...

      First days....
Well...touch wood...the trip this year started off rather mundane and almost, dare I say it, boring, orderly, and completely under control.

      ... etc., all beautifully presented!

My lunch was delicious. I chose a mozzarella and tomato salad drizzled with pumpkin seed oil and accompanied by a borek (phyllo pastry stuffed with feta cheese and basil, then baked). I also had a dish of olive tapenade on the side. Everything was SO delicious - even the olives, and I've always maintained I don't like olives. Bob had a lamb wrap which he also enjoyed very much.
