... Stanserhorn at 8am. Totally fogged in in Lucerne but Calvin had a friend already with a group up the mountain and he said it was crystal clear up there. So we shivered ourselves warm arriving at the railway station. Cute little train up to the Cabrio Cable Car....going up through mist. We called into Zug around 3 pm, to appease me. I had once stayed in a youth hostel there 38 years ago and had always remembered it as a lovely place. ... so went for a nice long walk around Lucerne, stopped for an occasional beer then wanderd back to pick it up. Cost about $25NZ, Nothing is cheap in Switzerland. Got back to the hotel in time for dinner which was surprisingly good. The beauty of staying in town was that we could walk down to the CBD for an after dinner drink.
