Departed Dublin around 07:30, first stop Italy for the wedding. Arrived in Malcesine for lunch. Checked into hotel Alpino, a great little spot, right in the centre of the town, chilled for a while then caught up with friends who were already settled in.
Weather was a bit of a mixed bag, but we still had enough sunshine to make the most of our time. We got the ferry across Lake Garda to visit Limone for the amazing invisible market and ...
... juliet. There's a statue of her underneath it and crowds of people in line to touch her boob.. apparently it's good luck... so we all took our turns touching juliet's boob and we took pictures of it. The balcony was really awesome. There's also a "tunnel of love" that you have to go through to get to the balcony. You're supposed to write your name on it. So we all wrote our names in permanent marker in the tunnel. On sunday Gaston finally made it!! We were glad he could ...
Folgaria, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy pandajax365... depressing being waited on by our favorite servers for the last time. It was a pretty usual dinner. After dinner we headed down to the bar where we had champagne and pastries and made a toast to our amazing experience. We took a million pictures including one giant group picture. The night started winding down, which i was dreading because it meant saying more goodbyes. While we were taking pictures, we couldn't find Pino. Later on someone told me he ...

Trasferimenti aeroporto/hotel: Dopo aver valutato le possibili soluzioni (Airbus, taxi, shuttle) abbiamo prenotato via internet (www.goairlinkshuttle.com) uno shuttle al costo di 34$ dollari. Trento, Italy bortolotti... some Murano earrings and bracelet plus some cute Murano ducks. After we all found each other again Pina took her bike home, GP walked home to get the car so we could do more touring. We headed N toward Tenno on a very windy road. Carol now takes pills and sits in the front. We explored this ancient hillside town before meeting Maria's sister, Gienna, her daughter Christina and husband Gilberto for lunch at AgriturCalvola, another outstanding place ...
Riva Del Garda, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy teamcc... mile to their home. I would guess we have walked about 2 miles today! After 7 we headed out to their house---and got lost. Not too bad though-just missed seeing the house though we had taken the correct side road. Called and she ran out and met us. They had dinner ready- fresh minestrone soup, chicken with spaghetti sauce, bread and some delicious potatoes, then some baked peaches with a chocolate on the top-very good. After dinner we a ...
Riva Del Garda, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy teamcc... too- there is a huge castle/fortress high on a prominent point above the town. This is also a town the rock climbers come to for extreme climbing. We walked all over town trying to find a street fair Maria had read about, and finally did find it- very small, about 10 booths and a food booth where we ate a plate of LOTS of thin sliced beef and red beans - and red wine of course! Really good meat and we all cleaned our plates. Walked a bit ...
Riva Del Garda, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy teamcc... is the fourth most popular tourist city in Italy (after Rome, Venice, and Florence of course.) We saw the old bridge that connected the old city to the newer part. We drove up the hill and saw a view of the city. Then we went into the city and saw where Juliett's house was. This is not a real house of course but it has a balcony and an old building. People wrote love notes on the wall going into her house. Some guys on the ...
Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy peter148For years I was told that I ski like a girl. My father convinced me that this was no insult nonetheless the ski companies had me believe otherwise. No ski was built for my womanly features. I was thus forced to plead like Lady Macbeth "unsex me now!" I cried broaden my biceps, built up my buns and turn them into steal. Replace my breasts with pecks and please, oh please for heaven's sake, change my center of gravity! Fortunately K2 heard my cry and ...
