... South along the Adriatic coast for about a hundred miles. We arrived at our hotel just South of the Port town of Ancona in an area known as Portonuovo which has a commanding view of the sea from a bluff. The wind howls up here and should make for a noisy night. The hotel is devoid of people save a few that we saw in the lounge area. Not surprising given both its remote location and the time of year. Very quite except.....for the wind. All in all a very enjoyable day.
You are never doing nothing are you? I just went to write 'during the day today we did nothing' but it really isn’t true. We were always doing something, just nothing of any interest.

... upon a womderful little french themed italian restaurant where we were warmly greeted and had a great meal. The spagetti primi platti I had was divine and was simply egg spagetti, butter, pepper and flakes of parmesan. Something I have learnt on this trip is that the Italians do not drench their pasta with sauce, the sauce is actually quite sparse.
