They used to be carried but now it is too hard to find 40-80 people of the same height for each float, so they are pulled. ... then we took a regular train from Nagoya to Takayama for 2.5 hours. The second train was about 40 minutes late arriving into Takayama, very rare in Japan. ... rarely use credit cards in Japan, you pay for everything in cash and because of this we were beginning to run out. For some reason Japanese cash points don't tend to like our English bank cards either. We think the Japanese can only get cash out from a cash point at their actual bank which obviously means we will struggle quite a bit.
