... active port, serviced by both trucks from all over the country and still some rail cars from the south.

Puerto Limón is located in the province of Limón. The city is not a tourist destination. And we were told by multiple folks in San José that “it’s just a city”. However, we were excited to visit the largest city on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and see some of the history in this old city, ...

Last day in Costa Rica

... didn't seem to mind, but a worker there was not impressed by the fact that protocols hadn't been followed and was bossing the guy around with the most attitude in town. She obviously woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and before giving us the poorest exchange rate for our change, she demanded the bike lock from us, which we left the same way it was given to us. We spend a lot of time chilling at Emily and Freddy's house which ...

... ever. We give Freedom, two thumbs up!

The scenes we witnessed in the Costa
Rican jungle will forever be remembered even if we didn't see the
relatives of Hugo Chavez and Osama Bin Laden (crocodiles) this time
around. We didn't feed the monkeys just like the way they do in
the zoo, or in Disney World. We didn't do the zip lining, or the
canopy jungle ride. There was just not enough time to do all of that
in one day. ...

... the last two and a half minutes, no big deal, food and drink was really good, I had hot wings and fries, Deb a cob salad which was half the size of Puerto Viejo, all washed down with lashings of cool beer. We order a taxi and are home by eight, another raucous night out. In fairness we are getting up at five in the morning as we're off on holiday to Tortuguero in the morning. PUERTO VIEJO DAY THREE Sunny Thirty One degrees. Up at five and awaiting our pick ...
