    ... We also got puffed out faster which finally clicked as being due to being up so high. There was also even MORE snow up there than there was down in Lauterbrunnen, and while walking around there was the smell of roasting marshmallows. Not kidding.     ... and I think that we managed to get to about 95% by the end before we both called it quits, completely aware that dinner was still to come! And so we headed back to the room and got changed and went straight back downstairs to the pool complex... Arriving there we got straight to finding out where the spa and sauna were....     ... the longest glacier in Europe. Inside the building there is a surround cinema, "alpine experience" display, an ice tunnel and high priced souvenir shops to fleece the tourists. But the genuine alpine experience was just outside: incredible views of the surrounding snow covered peaks and deep crevasses within the glacial ice. We had studied the hiking map last night and decided we would catch the cable car to a place called First (2168m) and walk to the lake, Bachalpsee (2265m). From there we hoped to walk to Bussalp (1792m) and then catch the bus back to Grindelwald.
