    ... up and hydrated ourselves to the max. Might have been unnecessary but we all know what a worry-wart I am.

    Was grateful that we were too 'tight' to cough up the ~ $150 / person to train to the 'top of Europe' Jungfraujoch (at 3454m) as once we got to the station we were swallowed in an Armageddon of tourists all heading up there. Were pleasantly surprised when we were the only people who got off at that second highest stop to start our hike down ...

    ... and froing between Emma and I we finally decided on a Cheese Fondue for lunch - as long as they could do it with some potatoes (we expected no bread for Emma) and we were delighted to be told by Michael (one of the other old staff who I spent a fair bit of time working with) that Emma would have GF bread and some potatoes too... About a quarter of the way through Emma told me that she didn't think we would get close to finishing the bowl of hot cheese, even though it was amazing! But ...

    ... asked a guy across from us what was up. He said "mechanical" and we had to change tracks to another train. Ok, so we hauled our stuff to the new train and settled in. The good news is now we didn't need to change trains in Bern, as this one went straight to Interlaken.

    By the time we arrived in Interlaken, I was feeling very green from motion sickness. Between not much to eat, strong coffee, rocking train and sitting stomach ...

    ... and savoured every minute of being in this incredible place. Last time we also bumped into Brendan's friend Joel's, brother Micah, who was working for contiki on sight. We decided to head back down to the dreaded 'Bombshelter' to see if he was still around. Crazily enough he was and we had another good catch up with him, swapping stories of what we had both been up to over the last few months and finding out that we are both flying home a few days apart. He has loved his time ...
