After walking through Murren, we boarded another cable car and rode to Birg, a 3500 foot elevation change in 5 minutes, then onto another cable car for the last 2000 feet in 5 minutes to the top of Shilthorn. I love Swiss transportation! Schilthorn is just over 10,000 feet and from there we had a beautiful view of. . . ...

... the public was not allowed there. And Kleine Scheidegg functions primarily as the depot for the Jungfraujochbahn (railway to Jungfraujoch), so there were few folks around during our second visit. We were lucky that our timing allowed us the trip up the day before.

On Thursday we departed Wengen, and picked up a car. And that allowed us a different kind of access to alpine scenery. Watch for some of those vistas soon.
