... One was massaging the bartender, one dancing, the other was pouring that damn cup to more people, and one bloke was just chilling pouring drinks. Madness! All enthused, we were about to go join them, and then a tray full of free shots was brought out, which of course quite quickly distracted us. Finally, at god knows what time in the morning they kicked us out, claiming they had to start cleaning the place so they could serve breakfast (!). Stumbled back ...

... 2014. This town attracts a lot of tourists and tour groups. The station platform was often filled with tour groups, each person with his or her large four-wheel hard sided suitcase. ... for some beautiful scenery. We were kitted up and then we ran down a steep slope until there was no more ground beneath us and we were FLYING! We both really enjoyed the ride, about 15 minutes in total. Definitely worth the cost. Luke took our camera up and Hannah's pilot took lots of pictures with his camera to make some great footage. On our way back to camp we saw loads of base jumpers ...

... the most beautiful in Europe and it soon became obvious why. Lush green pastures clung to the rocky crags of the mountains as cows lazily grazed in the shadow of the Alps. Oh my God, and the Alps! As you peered above tree line, the rough rock began to be covered in icy snow and glaciers. Absolutely unreal.

My Saturday hike was filled with busy Swiss farmers chopping firewood, grazing cattle, and a victory beer at the top of a mountain. Really ...
