First of all I want to acknowledge that IT IS SARAH'S BIRTHDAY MONTH! Beautiful sunny day in Delphi. We are off for a full morning tour of Ancient Delphi and it's museum. The guide told us all the tales of the importance of Delphi and how The Oracle under the temple was really a woman who was sniffing ether from an underground fault. The priest would then interpret her mumblings to solve peoples worries. The site was very pretty with a market, reconstructed treasury, temple and ...

... just being there was pretty cool. After feeding and posing like Spartan warriors we all sleepily flopped onto the bus and kicked back for the 2.5 remaining hours on the bus listening to random fun facts about Greece and the countryside from our enthusiastic guide and trying to sleep between announcements over the buses loud speaker. We stopped to go into the Nunnery of Saint Stephens and for an ...

Off the ferry and drove to a ruin at Dodoni. Met an English guy there who told us a about Vikos gorge near Ionia that we shouldn't miss.

Drove up to the gorge past all the old pack horse stone bridges in Zagoria - to the top of the gorge and up the mountain behind it ... very spectacular scenery. Particularly nice parked up the top in the middle of a thnderstorm.

... of the town and a restaurant where its tables where on a park, which had a small waterfall seemed like a popular place, so we have chosen that. The food was very nice. Actually I did not realize before, but the best way to get plenty of food with the minimum price, if you order small dishes, like musaka, stuffed paprika, grilled eggplant and maybe one or two main courses and then you share this with everyone. Like if you would order tapas in a Spanish restaurant.
