Woke up early to try and bet the crowds to the Monastrey made our way up the hill and took pictures of different Monasteries on our way up to the Holy Trinity Monastrey which we were able to have a look through.

Incredible how the Monks would climb the rock face to pick a place to build the Monastery then in the original time they would build it all by hand. It blends into the rock face and looks incredible. ...

Off the ferry and drove to a ruin at Dodoni. Met an English guy there who told us a about Vikos gorge near Ionia that we shouldn't miss.

Drove up to the gorge past all the old pack horse stone bridges in Zagoria - to the top of the gorge and up the mountain behind it ... very spectacular scenery. Particularly nice parked up the top in the middle of a thnderstorm.

Today we were going on a walk for 4-5 hours to visit some monasteries (Yipee). I put on my big walking boots for a big walk. As we were walking through town at the start I saw a few monasteries on the massive rocks with jagged edges. On the map we were going to walk up a track visit a monastery then up a narrow ascent to visit another monastery then visit another monastery and then visit ...
