... it had a thriving textile industry, a few dozen of the 600 mansions remain around it's cobbled streets. We will visit the village tomorrow, we drive a little further up the winding road to a view point, wow what a view it is. A lovely spot to stay the night. A local lady stopped as she walked by to chat to us, she was very friendly and enquirer if we needed anything. Off the ferry and drove to a ruin at Dodoni. Met an English guy there who told us a about Vikos gorge near Ionia that we shouldn't miss.

Yesterday we walked up a few flights of steps and today I'm feeling tired and sore. Its not like I can't move but I'm feeling weak and thats a bad sign.

We got up early because the hotel does a great breakfast that includes homemade Greek yoghurt and marmalades plus honey from the area. The ...

... we pressed on, blazing our trail through this foreign wilderness. We made it about another 10 minutes before we were being actively swarmed on by bees and wasps alike, and numerous other enormous bugs from some nuclear fallout disaster, and we ended up running all the way back out the the road. At this point Leanne, in her indefatigable optimism, suggested to walk up via the road; I said 'sod that, lets get the bus'.
