... the hill. Unfortunately visibility even worse today so after the effort of making our way up the hill we could not even see the water. Great villa's though.
Fast boat back, ferry home and we enter our warm apartment at approx 7pm, in time to cook dinner.
Como, well it is not what we expected, much more suburban. However, glad we came to experience and see how those with lots of money actually holiday.

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.

... castle towers all lit up, then back to the restaurant we had agreed to meet at. I was early, so I snagged us a table, and she joined me a few minutes later. Neither of us was actually hungry yet after our lunch earlier, but we weren't about to miss out on a meal in Italy. I ordered a pizza, and she ordered spaghetti carbonara, and we agreed to share. This time, we skipped the alcohol and opted for water. Em said it was the best spaghetti carbonara she'd ever had (and I agreed!) ...

First of August and snow on the mountain tops again! Drove to Lugano through very heavy rain, spoiling the view of spectacular mountains as we approached the San Bernadino tunnel. Climbed to 1600 metres. Arrived in Lugano, on the shore of Lake Lugano, still very rainy and not much fun so had lunch and drove out along the lake shore. Crossed into Italy and on to Milan. Drove to the City Camp site - abysmal. Crowded, not well kept and three ...
