    ... the paths make it much more unique. But even if you take the cable car to the top you have to be prepared to climb loads of steps, because there aren't many flat areas across the site.

    ... over roots, rocks, through slippery mud...the kids had a blast! Daniel gave me a bamboo walking stick, I held on to it to make him happy, but I'm so glad I had it! Some of those rocks were slippery and that stick was very helpful. Joe slipped and fell twice, each time Daniel was worried. "Be careful of your back daddy!"     ... up the side of a wooded hill to the Big Budda, the trail was great but quite slippy after the rain, I was surprised to see many types of people doing it from young kids to old grannies and even a woman dressed up nice in high heels, not sure she got far though.  On the way we visit Jochiji temple which was like the previous one however it had a statue of the god of happiness, which was basically a fat guy with his belly hanging out and if you rubbed it a bit you ...

    ... the rain that had carried through from yesterday into this morning it proved a bit of a challenge in places. In places the pathway was loosely cut into the rocks and around tree roots.
