... 50's subculture kids dressed up straight out of "Grease" in poodle skirts and leather jackets.

Most of all, I was struck that Japan was one of those places where you could live for 20 years but still never be accepted or understand all of the societal norms as a westerner.

I will try to get back and add more to this later, but I am over 2 months behind on blogging so want to get something up now.

... br> With nit so much trouble, we got off the station and walked to the hostel. The gps doesn't work and ppl here don't speak English at all. The hostel receptionist is super cute and friendly. I taught here some English words and she showed us some basic direction around. I taught her pronunciation of "electronics". ... was in turned out to be a satellite building - you had to catch a shuttle into the main building, the shuttle was odd it was a train that was slightly elevated but only ran on one rail, it was sort of 'clipped' on to the side of it - another shuttle came in the other direction and it looled like they'd smash but with Japanese precision the track bends slightly at that point and they pass each other. ... very nice to see the place I used to work at has grown so much and I pay huge respect to the CEO and other staff who supported to grow a company to a big scale like this.


For dinner, we went to West Park Cafe to meet up with our good friend Joe and his crew. This is Daniel's favourite restaurant. It is an Western style restaurant and little bit pricy but Daniel loves roast chicken here so he was very happy tonight!
