      ... Cannery Row a historic area of the wharf that, at the turn of the century, was bustling with the fishing & canning of sardines. That is until they fished it out and the sardine business collapsed!

      ... very user friendly, logical and despite the traffic, everything seems to somehow flow and drivers are generally very accommodating of 'novices' such as us.       We then headed down more twisty winding roads to sit in California traffic, until we got to Santa Cruz, which we bypassed for the little seaside town of Capitola, about 5 miles south, as recommended by Bob and Sally Staiger.
