The drive North was ever changing because very soon we had left the vineyards behind and soon encountered huge fields of barley many already cut and straw baled and removed more with combine harvester parked up ready to roll.

The alarm was set for 08:00 knowing we may sleep in following last nights excesses - we had booked and paid for the breakfast at Hotel Jeanne D'Arc so we were never going to miss that!!
We felt remarkably well for saying and both agreed that should be a one off!!! Too much time lost.

... has found. Thought we were in the wrong path, not very scenic and pretty industrial, so turned round and went back, but though by the river in parts, not the prettiest walk. So back to the village where we wandered round the little streets. Seemed to be lots of small shops and galleries, but all shut! Back to the ferry and home for lunch.
