... 8364;13 for breakfast so will be visiting the shops in the morning (well, afternoon, check out is at 12!) At least I got a proper dinner in The Cafe Royale, burger and chips and a basket of bread. Sat (almost horizontally on a big leather couch) in a nice jazz bar nursing a half pint of Grimbergen Blanc for an hour whilst writing blog, then back to the hotel bar for another hour to finish it off. Probably to Le Mans tomorrow, we'll see how it's ...
... bakeries are all closed for lunch and restaurants have stopped serving. We had a long hot midday stretch today with nothing but two energy gels to eat - they are very ,uch a last resort. Sickly sweet and with the consistency of slug juice; they are not edible unless you are very hungry. We stopped at three or four villages as we approached Nantes and only in the final one did we find a dingy little bar still sleepily open. A coke and a snickers ...
Which is probably the only reason I was able to find everything I needed to make a mexican dinner!
Fun fact: there are over 400 different types of cheese in France, but out of those 400 hundred, do they have Colby-Jack? No. No they don't.
French people, man.
So we retuned home, I cooked the food and it was a hit!

But I thought naw forget it, this country is great!

... a good girl and finishing writing my blog entry all about today (which I'm actually almost done with), which I'm sure I'll have stress dreams about finishing, I'm going to sleep!
There's a 9 hour time difference between France and Arizona so I should have the full first day blog up by the time everyone wakes up tomorrow morning!
