... low being unemployed, so using the free rail travel seemed rather semsible even if there are not many trains to choose from!

We need not have bothered planning a day out as on our first day in Brittany, on a shopping trip to the local Super U, we stumbled across a stash of the flavoured cognac at lower prices that expected. Even though it was just past 10.00 in the morning we sneaked to the checkout clutching ...

An early flight from Nice and I was back in Nantes by 9 am, a cool misty morning with the sound of the harvesting machines still in the air. A 20 minute drive to the house and I had to go and have a nap since I had been up since 4 am.
it was nice to have a couple of quiet days as we were expecting friends to arrive from Paris at noon on Friday, and we were to attend the Fete du Village or the village party on Friday evening, a tradition that has been ...

Our first super long train ride of the trip. The ride from Paris to Nantes seemed to take more time than physically possible. Once in Nantes we had a layover before our next train ride and were able to explore a absolutely gorgeous park. You can look at the photos and let your imagination fill in the rest.
