... a few bits and pieces ourselves, including a reindeer antler bottle opener, and a bunch of postcards. We also stopped at the official post office of the north pole to send postcards home for xmas. they get some fancy stamp apparently. woo!
We met the big man himself afterwards, it was free to meet him and have a chat, but a whopping 49 euros for the pictures afterwards. of course we brought them!

... do mercado para ir a pé, lá estava o taxista, na porta. Não sabemos o porquê, mas mudamos de idéia e pedimos para ele nos levar ao hotel (reservado pelo booking.com como todos os outros).
Chegando no endereço o taxista nos perguntou se tínhamos a chave do dormitório, respondemos obviamente que não. Ele falou que se tratava de uma pensão de estudantes, algo como uma escola interna. Pedimos para que nos deixasse no endereço que estava na reserva, ele disse que não adiantava pois ali ...

... When we got to the airport (at 5:37a), Natasha and I made it a priority to get the passport stamp that reads "The Official Airport of Santa Clause - Rovaniemi" before checking in to our flight which was leaving at 6:05a. Fortunately the airport only has five gates. We made it through check-in and security within 15 minutes, and we were the second to last people to board the airplane.

The flight home was uneventful, and I slept a lot. ...

... az órának a tengelye behatol a föld közepéig, amire azért van szükség, hogy karácsonykor a Mikulás le tudja lassítani a föld forgását, ezzel az idő múlását, hogy legyen elég ideje körbejárni az összes gyereket. Na ezért van az, hogy karácsonykor olyan lassan telik az idő, amíg várunk az ajándékra :-)

Az iroda előtt némi sor állt, mert nem csak úgy beszaladtak az emberek a Mikuláshoz, hanem mindenkit külön fogadott. Kb. 10 perc várakozás ...
