... down the hill. We walked from the station into town, passed a Japanese garden, wandered for a little bit, then went back to Cafe Schuh to have lunch. This is where we had "lunch" of cake and coffee the other day. We had to walk around a couple of huge St Bernard's lolling in the cafe next to their owner. ... a sweet dog that reminded me of Peaches wanted some serious attention. I picked out a package of cheese and put the money in a lock bin in the mini-fridge. The farmer came downstairs and opened the basement door to show us his stockpile of wheels of cheese and wine. On an unrelated note, Bill James has decided to become a “gentleman-farmer.”

... as much water or fountains) is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. It is renowned for its waterfalls and this is because it's a massive valley between 2 mountains in the magnificent Swiss alps. Our campsite was situated in front of Stalbach falls, a delightful sight to wake up to each morning!

Interlaken is a small town just down the road from Lauterbrunnen (20min on train or bike) ...
