The place is so French, like we knew it was French but not that French, we also thought everyone would speak English, they don't, in fact people here do not speak English at all! we set off to conquer Le Parc Royale, Montreal's snowy, pinier version of
Central Park. Despite some beautiful statues and some seemlingly lovely views,
the wind discouraged us from actually climbing the steep of Mont Royale, a
babby mountain compared to the Whties, but a nice walk nonetheless. Perhaps we'll
return later in the trip when our ears aren't frozen off.
... she woke up in the morning leaving for her flight to Florida. I'm convinced the heater is actually blowing intervals of cold air so I woke up chilly a few times. I didn't set an alarm cause I wake up early anyway, so was pretty shocked to roll over and find it was 9am. 9 AM! That's the latest I've slept since I've been in Canada. Anyway, I woke up hoping Montreal would change my first impressions and that's when the next blog comes in.
