    ... yelling at us with their shrill and piercing calls. They may have had a nest on the island, as they seemed quite unhappy that we had shown up. We took a quick walk around the island (it’s very small) but didn’t see any nests, and then headed back to shore. Paddling (and steering!) on the way back became quite challenging due to the angle of the waves and the wind, but we managed without capsizing.
