    ... staying with him for 3 nights (4 days).

    We touched down at 7.30 local time and sure enough, Bill was there at the terminal to greet me. The first thing I noticed when we left the comfort of the air conditioned terminal building was the heat. It was shortly after 8 am but it was already in 70 degrees and rising.     ... Judy lives in Tokyo three weeks a month and in Singapore one week a month). On the Wednesday night I went to dinner with an old school friend, also called Lesley, who has lived in Singapore for about 20 years. It was really great to spend some time with her and to meet her three beautiful children, Charlotte, Emily and George.     ... lasted about 15 minutes and we went to the Skywalk entrance but because the light rain postponed entry - there was now a long queue and we couldn't b e bothered waiting. We walked over to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel/Casino and while I'd like to stay there, the extravagance of the hotel with the Versace and Gucci shops is a little vulgar. I'd hate top think if I came into a fortune I'd stay in places like this exclusively and look down ...
