    ... it had all of the top designer shops and a canal boat to the Louis Vuitton flagship store - didn't go in a boat or the shop however, we did use the free wifi only to be advised, by my lovely cousin Nick, that the volcano in Bali was "playing up" and that it had been on the news in Australia that flights were being cancelled due to a bloody ash cloud.     ... of France is a lovely experience

    However all was an absolute treat - as our thousands of photos remind us!

    NOW back to reality! its time to get out of the best bed since home and enjoy Singapore. After 3 hours driving to Barcelona, airport stuff, 7 hours flying, 2.5 hours stop, 8 hours flying, more airport stuff and getting to hotel in hot Singapore - we managed OK. Bits of sleep along the way and a good night of local food + beer made for a good nights sleep

    ... following the sidewalk along the bay. The view of the city was amazing and we enjoyed seeing all the different architecture types in the high rises. Our walk ended at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, which stood imposing at the end of the bay. We were dying to see the skyline from the top of the hotel and to see the infinity pool, but only guests are allowed up.     ... of the country before we could re-board and go over the bridge to Singapore. There was a huge thunder cloud waiting for us when we arrived in Singapore and some beautiful spaniel sniffer dogs.     ... Light Show which originates at the Marina Bay, only to be told that because the city is in mourning there will be no Light Show until Monday. I feel so disappointed as we did not see the one in Hong Kong either (a reason to come back for sure).

    The hotel has a walkway that leads to the Gardens by the Bay. There is an admittance fee for the Flower Dome, the Cloud Forest and the Skyway but to walk in the gardens and around the Supertree Grove is free. It ...
