A travel blog entry by geoffq on Sep 06, 2014

Our beautiful view of the whole of Vancouver airport was a pleasure to wake up to at 0630, we went to the service desk at the motel, then walked to Air Canada booking desk, then to customs, and security, then had our last cup of Starbucks in Canada, then proceeded to our boarding gate for our departure at 1015. The flight from Vancouver to Sydney was 15 hours, pretty long but the time went reasonably quickly, ...

... this tour focused on Melbourne's history and took us to the infamous street art and European alleyways. We even managed to find the first alleyway we went through in order to have lunch afterward, which led to finding our favorite pub, the Charles Dickens! We returned multiple times to that pub and even had our last meal in Melbourne there. We also took our first excursion to the wine country outside of Melbourne, and we got to see what everyone really raves ...

... Street (Crooked Street). I missed walking up street as needed to get a jumper - little cooler than we thought, I then caught taxi to meet them - we all walked down the side of the street - unable to walk on crooked street as very popular with cars driving down. Walking around Piers came across Rainforest Cafe (atmosphere of eating within a jungle) steamy, animals calling out - great for kids alike. Home for some much needed ...
