    Great day and lifesavers

Well we survived our first night at La Perla by layering myself with some of Michaels shirts to keep warm but I'm not sure if we will survive the sugar laden breakfast that is served. A full trestle table of cakes awaits us! The sun is shining and the temperature is slightly cooler today.Phew! Is what we all say. Michael, Silvana, Rosanna, Steve and myself walk down to a nearby bar to have a decent espresso coffee then wandering off to explore Tropea. Michael and I have ...

    ... arrive at our destination.
The weather is hot, humid and sultry all at the same time ...not at all pleasant. We all grab our bags and walk into the hotel where there is no aircon at reception. Hoping to get some relief from the heat we are immediately disappointed and it isn't helping our already fired up tempers. (We all have Calabrian blood in us except for Steve and Emily and Anthony) We are given our rooms all on the 2nd floor. Some take the lift others take ...

Very pleased today to be at sea. It's been non stop for us for over two weeks now - so really nice to just chill and do nothing much. Which is exactly what we did. Late breakfast, swim in the adults pool at the far end of the boat. The seawater was smooth, calm and glassy and we passed the volcanic island of Stromboli which was steaming away nicely. Looked very ethereal with all the sea mist and the glassy water. Then we sailed ...

This is a great area to come for a slow down and relax, beach stay at the bottom of the boot of Italy.

Our apartment is in a resort complex with an fantastic terrace and pool on the roof.

The kids loved swimming all day and we loved watching the stunning and beautiful sunsets each night up there.

Tropea is a cool town with a great vibe and many restaurants and little streets.

... into the pool and we played that shark game again.

We drove to a shopping centre that Mum LOVED!
Mum wanted to go into every shop she could in the shopping centre.

After 2 hours of looking at shops and clothes we went to get something to eat and Mum and Zara went into a massive shop.

Riley, Dad and me went to a takeaway shop and I got a burger.
