Can Tho, Vietnam mekongtour... small tables with their families
and neighbors. Washing hair, shaving, getting a haircut – all done
outside in plain view. A privacy nightmare perhaps (we wonder where
certain intimacies are done :) - but it definitely makes for a lively
atmosphere – you're never lonely that's for sure – and everyone
seems to know everyone else.

#2:
We love how everyone crouches here – it's truly amazing: their
butts are very low to the ...
Cần Thơ, Cần Thơ, Vietnam carlaandmike... and the journey into Cambodia so it was just the two of us and Ouilid on a visit to a floating village and a fish farm. The village was set on the side of an island in the middle of the river with each house being attached to the land so that they could be winched in and out from the shore depending on the river levels. In one of the houses we saw a women making a scarf using a traditional wooden weaving machine. It seemed to be a lot of hard work as she used her feet to ...

Sadec Mekong Delta, Ten Bai, Vietnam hilaryramsey... up a little map. The guys at the Tourist Info say that a bus to Can Tho should cost 55,000VND! They also suggest we catch a Mai Line bus and write all this down for us. Hm, so we walk back and say yo the woman, 55000VND for a ticket please! She laughs and drops the price right away. Argh, typical - even when they're caught scamming us they think its hilarious to try and charge us nearly 2.5 times the price. We ask if its a Ma Line bus, but she says no ...

Can Tho, Vietnam meclayt... We got back at 11:45. The plan was to get a bike to Muniransyaram Pagoda, before getting the bus back to Saigon. But the driver got lost and I never made it. I caught the bus back tonight so I could get my visa fixed before popping off to Singapore on the 4th for the weekend.
Can Tho, Vietnam conrad.bear... weren't so happy. Theferry ride was a quick 10 minutes and we started walking from the pier into whatwas now nighttime in a strange city. It felt like the neighborhood you get around the bus station. And no bathroom or food round though. One guy finally spoke up and let his displeasure be known. The guide immediately went into defensive mode. I felt really bad for himand his limited English madehimeven more frustrated. It was ...
