... Tosho-gu, home to a collection of temples, shrines, and the tomb of Shogun Ieyasu. Here we saw elephants carved by an artist who had never seen elephants, the Crying Dragon hall with its astounding acoustics, Sunset Gate with a purposely upside down pillar (so as not to be too perfect as to make the gods envious), the main hall with 100 hand-painted dragons (each one different), and, guarded by the sleeping cat and situated on a misty ...

... three hours, meaning that 2.5 of those walked in the rain and strong wind. We arrived at the 5th station around 8:30, totally soaked, tired but our spirit was great

What an amazing night, it was really an adventure!!!!!!

The food was all traditional Japanese, meticulously prepared and presented with two to three courses each consisting of three to five very small dishes. 8 km walk from walk Magemo to Tsumago.

The guide book and the tourist information centre told me that it would take 3hours to walk it.
However I only had 2, as I got up way to late to actually do this walk. What can I say i did it in 1 1/2 hours :)

Rock'n Roll!!!! found the coolest little coffee shop in Tsumago.

... stream of people walking away, hoping that they would lead us to the next point of the program or to the place to be. But they scattered and in the end we were standing there alone, so we took a lovely walk back to the hostel. Beni, my travel companion and boyfriend, went to the hot onsen while I was staying in the lobby. One of the favourite things to tell about the hostel: they played music from Miyazaki movies (like from Princess Mononoke or Totoro). I love these ...
